Well, it’s technically Saturday and the big game is upon us. I’ve written extensively about Saturday’s Bemidji State-Minnesota-Duluth for The Pioneer.
Catch up with all of the stories and get primed for the game here. Everything is neatly wrapped into this preview story along with links to my stories this week and to Jon Nowacki’s work in the Duluth News Tribune.
Here’s the video report I produced with interviews from the players.
There’s only one other point I’d like to add about this game.
Duluth is good. We all know that.
Bemidji State has overachieved this year. But every win they have earned and in every game, BSU has put forth an honest effort on the field.
Duluth isn’t going to underestimate the Beavers and the Beavers won’t be backing down against Duluth.
I’m expecting good football from both teams. I don’t think a rout on either side will happen as both teams have played with the discipline necessary to play winning football this season. This game should come down to the fourth quarter.
All I know is that 2009 has been a special year for sports in Bemidji (see: Frozen Four).
Could something special happen again Saturday afternoon?
