Former BSU hockey player Lowe looks to continue career in Germany

Former Bemidji State hockey player Ian Lowe will look to continue his hockey career in Germany next season.

Lowe agreed to terms on a tryout contract for the upcoming season with Lausitzer Füchse. It was announced by the club Thursday on its website.

The Foxes play in the German second league and are based in the east German city of Weißwasser.

The native of Bradwardine, Manitoba had 12 goals and 16 assists in his senior season last year with the Beavers. He played on BSU’s top power play unit and had five goals on the power play.

Lowe had 37 goals and 42 assists in his career with the Beavers and his 79 points rank 11th on the school’s all-time Division I scoring list.
